To give you the absolute best senior portrait experience around, DFP books ONLY 50 senior sessions per year in Austin. Book ASAP to guarantee a session.  Your reservation fee is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a later date should there be a need to postpone your session. You may pay by cash, check or credit card. Keep in mind that I typically book senior portrait sessions 6-8 weeks or more in advance, so contact me ASAP for first dibs on your date!

After the reservation fee is paid and your session date is set, we will schedule your in person pre-session consultation where we will plan out your senior pictures entirely.  We will also discuss your wardrobe, styling, and photographic artwork for your home. Pre-session consultations should be scheduled at least one to two weeks before your session. 

Do You Offer Professional Hair and Makeup?

Yes! We work we some wonderful stylists that can make your day extra special. Ask about the hair and makeup add on service.

How Do We Order Photos?

About 2-5 days after your session, we will meet in the comfort of my Cedar Park studio and view your images together. You will have the opportunity to see, feel and explore my exciting print and product line, and decide exactly the products you need to preserve your images. Your order will be created and paid for at this session. Print packages start at $860.  

How Long Does the Entire Process Take?

During slower times, one can expect the whole process from photo shoot to products in hand to take about 3-4 weeks. During the busy seasons, turn around time can be about 5-6 weeks. 

All I Want is Digital Images From My Senior Session. Can We Buy Those?

Yes. Digital Only Collections start at $950 and include print rights. 

How Do We Decide a Location for Senior Photos?

At your pre-session consultation, we will go over location options that fit your personality and the feel you want for your photos. Below are some of the different senior session styles you can choose from: 

1. City/Urban – let’s head to downtown Austin for a senior session on 6th street or on SoCo for some fun, fashionable and edgy images
2. Nature – have a favorite park or piece of land you love? Let’s go! If you don’t have a fav, I can suggest the perfect place. Georgetown and Round Rock have some beautiful parks. Great for more natural and beauty images.
3. Water – a hit with the ladies, water sessions are an awesome way to get something totally different and unique for your senior pictures! Bring a towel because you will get wet! I know some super gorgeous spots in Pflugerville and Austin.
4. Texas Country – small town storefronts and country roads? I know just the place! How about Liberty Hill, Taylor, or Granger?
5. Personal – into sports or extracurricular activity? Have a unique hobby or interest? Let’s shoot you in your element! This session is great for equestrians, cheerleaders, musicians, artists and anyone with a specific personal style they want to show.
6. Themed/Styled - Want your session to tell a unique story? Together we can create a whole themed look with custom outfits, styling, and locations to fit your theme. 
7. Destination Sessions - DFP is always willing to travel outside of Austin for a unique destination session. Do you have a love for the beach? Let's go! Is your heart bound to a city far away? Why not do senior portraits in the place you call home? You don't have to be limited to Austin for great senior portraits. The world is at your fingertips.
    

What if the Weather is Bad?

As the saying goes, in Texas, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. ;) The same holds true for photo sessions. If it looks like there will be bad weather, I will let you know that we need to postpone no earlier than 2 hours before your scheduled time. 

What Do I Wear for Senior Portraits?

I highly recommend you schedule a complimentary pre-session consultation to discuss clothing options, locations and the general ideas you want to express during your session. Consultations can be in-person in your home or my Cedar Park studio, over the phone, or via email and/or text. Feel free to ask me for suggestions, opinions and ideas and together you can create the unique senior photo session you really want. 

Can I Bring Someone to My Photo Shoot?

Absolutely! I love it when you bring a parent or friend who can help you with clothing changes and styling and who can make you laugh. Plus, I may need someone to hold a reflector! If you really want to go extreme, sign up yourself and your BFFs for a super fun BFF Senior Photo Day! Get glammed up with hair and makeup and spend the day in style travelling all over Austin for extreme senior photos. You won't regret this amazing experience!

Are You Willing To Travel Outside of Austin, TX For Senior Pics?

You bet! Destination sessions are my favorite! We can go anywhere you want to make your senior portrait session uniquely yours. I quite often do sessions in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston and other surrounding areas as well. For Texas destination sessions, there will sometimes be an additional travel fee, but not always. Just ask me and I can let you know if there is an additional charge. If you want to go out of state, DFP would love to travel with you to your special location.
